Hans Canon, also known as Johann Von Straschiripka, was a renowned 19th-century Austrian history and portrait painter.
During his life, he completed many paintings for the Austrian royal family.
Marked ‘Canon’ on reverse with an old sticker from Auktions-Haus C.J Wawra, Vienna.
Slight lifting to bottom corners where the original mount would have sat.
