Pair of 19th Century Armchairs in Calico

A large pair of 19th century armchairs with oak frames and mahogany turned front legs, raised on original brass castors.

This pair of armchairs have a feature strong high backs, scrolling arms and an inviting wide and deep seat.

The armchairs have been fully restored and stripped back to the solid oak frame for upholstery with a restored coil spring base, with hessian lining and calico coverings added ready for new upholstery. Two custom made deep feather cushions have been made to accompany the seat adding to the sumptuous feel of the chair.

The  horse hair stuffing remained in the chair for the restoration of this project.
