An exceptional pair of machinist stools by the manufacturing company Singer incorporated.
This heavy weight set of stools retain the original cast iron base and quad arm legs with the makers stamp clearly visible beneath.
The sprung back rest and swivel base retain the original wing nut bolts and supports. The back rests and molded dished seats are formed in bentwood ply.
This particular pair is in exceptional condition salvaged from the corporate office of a manufacturing firm in Hertfordshire, England. The standard of preservation is retained as this pair did not hit the shop floor and these examples were hardly used to the same extent as there predecessors.
The pair of stools remain in original untouched condition and were constructed under licence in the United Kingdom under American Patent.
Industrial style icons that would look the pride of place in all manner of settings.
Price is for the pair.
England, circa 1930.
