A rare Morris & Co. 19th century Sussex corner chair by Ford Maddox Brown in walnut.
The back rest is formed of three parallel stretchers and decorative turned spindles with four matching cruciform shields.
The seat has the original drop in rush seat accompanied by triple parallel stretchers to all four tapering legs raised on turned feet.
Exceptional in every way.
