Louis Philippe Mahogany Commode With Marble Top

A substantial Continental chest of drawers or commode in mahogany with a gently over sailing  grey marble top with rounded corners.

The top has a thin outer edge along the smooth top with no cracks or historical repairs to the surface.

The chest has an arrangement of three deep and wide spacious drawers with an additional slim frieze drawer beneath the marble top.

Original locks and keys with superb unique brass escutcheons in the shape of French empire dragons avec Fleurs.

The cabinet is supported by a decorative plinth and raised on proud shapely turned feet to the front.

In excellent condition, wonderfully presented.
