Liberty & Co Mahogany Jardiniere Stand

An early 20th Century Arts and Crafts  jardiniere stand of square form in mahogany by London retailer Liberty & Co.

The top of square form has a moulded edge with a small open gallery beneath, accompanied by a lattice work pierced skirt. A secondary lower tier follows with a series of symmetrical supports and vertical slats that adorn each of the four gently sloping sides.

The base is connected with a series of shapely gently curved stretchers on simple pointed feet.

Simple in form and beautiful in design.
