English Pine Shop Counter

A superb pitch pine shop counter from a tobacconist shop with a substantial plank top.

Each end is flanked by decorative carved corbels, fluted parallel columns and raised on a plinth base.

Six large smooth-running drawers over two larger frieze drawers, all with original brushed brass cup handles.

This bank of drawers is a fantastic size, not too large or too wide. It would make a fantastic console or kitchen sideboard.

Colour and patination consistent with age and use.

It is a wonderful item, full of charm and ready to be loved for another hundred and fifty years.
