A grand Belle Epoque period deconstructed armchair with an oak frame and mahogany turned front legs, raised on original brass castors.
This beautiful armchair features a strong high back, scrolling arms and an inviting wide and deep seat.
The armchair has been fully restored and stripped back to the solid oak frame for upholstery with a restored coil spring base, with hessian lining and calico coverings added ready for new upholstery. An oversized custom made deep feather cushions have been made to accompany the seat adding to the sumptuous feel of the chair.
The original horse hair stuffing remained in the chair for the restoration of this project.
