19th Century Corner Armchair In Princeton Ticking

An unusual Victorian mahogany corner chair with a deep square seat and a wide sweeping back rest.

The beautifully carved mahogany frame is raised on turned reeded mahogany legs and finished with original brass castors.  This particular armchair is unusual as Victorian corner chairs are not commonly found especially when made to a high quality of craftmanship like this example.

The armchair has been fully restored and stripped back to the solid frame for upholstery with a new coil spring base, with hessian lining and calico coverings added before being finished in Princeton blue stripe ticking upholstery. The square seat cushion has been finished with double piping to the edges along with the seat base to create a modern contemporary feel to this unusual armchair.
