A painted 19th-century canapé seat, also known as a salon bench or settee, in the manner of Louis XVI.
This original sofa has been fully restored and the sofa has been stripped back to the frame and horse hair cushioning. The original cushioning has been complemented with extra padding to the arms and backrest for comfort and finished in calico. The seat has been stitched with a new hessian cover awaiting new clothes if desired.
This wonderful seat will bring a touch of casual elegance to any room.
