A deep seated Victorian armchair with an oak frame and mahogany turned front legs, raised on original brass castors.
The armchair has been fully restored and stripped back to the solid oak frame for upholstery with a restored coil spring base, with hessian lining and calico coverings added ready for new upholstery. Two custom made deep feather cushions have been made to accompany the seat and back adding to the sumptuous feel of the chair.
The Original black and white horse hair stuffing remained in the chair for the restoration of this project.
This armchair is in the manner of Howard and Sons, London.
English, circa 1880.
