A commanding 19th century apothecary cabinet with an arrangement of sixty-four mahogany veneered drawers and four spacious cupboards beneath.
Each of the graduating cockbeaded drawers have beautifully hand painted labels in Latin each complemented with an original cut glass drawer pull.
The four cupboards beneath run along the width of the cabinet each with original oversize glass drawer pulls and brass lock fasteners.
This mid-Victorian apothecary cabinet has a stained pine carcass and an oak and plywood back.
Please note the castors that are visible in the images were only for the simpler transportation of the cabinet due to the impressive size of the piece.
It is rare to find a cabinet of the this size in such beautiful condition retaining its original elements and rich chestnut brown finish.
English, circa 1860.
