Spanish Athletics Competition Poster 1946

An original poster advertising an Athletics competition in Catalonia Spain at the Estadio Montjuic in 1946.

The first event dating to the 20th and 21st of July advertises the Spanish track championships. Another event for an International meeting between both Spain and Portugal is advertised for the 27th and 28th of July.

The poster uses the image of an athlete running in the centre of the poster with the words in both black and red higher and lower case lettering.

This simple and highly effective image is screen printed on a thin paper stock that has aged wonderfully giving a light brown hue to the paper.

Professionally framed and matted in ultraviolet protective glass with an acid-free mount.

A rare survivor from another age and possibly the only original copy in existence.
