A superb Victorian button back Chesterfield sofa in chestnut brown leather.
Raised on turned mahogany legs with original brass castors.
With a deep-seated buttoned back with club arms. The drop arm can be set to two different reclining positions. The drop mechanism has been restored fully with new springs and a release catch made from restored Victorian components.
The original leather has been treated with leather dubbing to bring out its colour and texture, resulting in a totally natural and worn look.
The sofa has been fully restored, stripped back to the solid oak pegged frame with a new coil spring base, padding and hessian lining added.
Quintessentially British country house style.
