Pair of Vintage Fairground Signs

A striking and very decorative pair of vintage circus or funfair signs with hand painted stylised typography on pine boards.

The signs read, ‘Wonderful World Of Entertainment’ and are hand painted in gloriously over the top bold lettering often seen at traditional British fairgrounds. The large bold flowing letters are painted in a variety of colours onto a painted black background and then a thin layer of varnish has been used over the top to seal the artists work.

The signs are of a great size and it is very unusual for original examples to come onto the open market. This pair came from the private collection of a renowned English collector who took took great pride in his collection of W.E.Berry signs and posters.

These signs would be perfect in a retail or hospitality setting or large open plan kitchen due to the length and size of the board frames.
