A splendid George III oak dresser base with a slightly oversailing two plank top with walnut banding.
The richly patinated top rests over a central arched cross banded panelled pair of cupboard doors flanked by two banks of three smooth running drawers. The drawers are complemented with shapely brass swing drop handles and brass escutcheons which I suggest were added during the late Victorian period.
The dresser has a gently tapering moulded base and is finished on four shapely bracket feet.
A fine and wonderful English oak dresser from the Georgian period with a warm earthly colour ready to serve for another two hundred and fifty years.
