French Cherry Wood Commode

A substantial Continental chest of drawers or commode in cherry wood with a gently over sailing  original marble top with square corners.

The smooth white Carrara marble top with no cracks or historical repairs to the surface and presents beautifully.

The chest has an arrangement of four wide and spacious drawers with a larger frieze drawer beneath the marble top.

The sturdy plinth base acts as an unusual additional hidden drawer with no brass escutcheons present like the drawers above.

Original locks and keys only enhance this splendid cabinet.

All raised on proud shapely carved bracket feet to the front with original panel back.

In excellent condition, wonderfully presented.
