A superb well proportioned Mahogany Serving Table by John Taylor & Son Edinburgh.
The generous slab top has a gentle moulded edge with a well carved shapely gallery back on a square frieze.
Raised on turned legs and finished with over size brass castors.
This well figured table exhibits a rich colour and patina presented beautifully in good country house condition.
In 1852 Taylor and Son were appointed ‘Cabinet-makers and Upholsterers in Ordinary to Her Majesty the Queen at Edinburgh’.
The table has the makers stamp to the reverse with the number C7672 also embossed.
