Pair Of English Bamboo Sofas

A wonderful pair of faux bamboo sofas in pine arranged as a three seater and a generous two seater sofa.

The curved and tapering backs are supported with an arrangement of interlocking supports with secure bindings to each joint forming a geometric pattern. The backs of each sofa lean at a gentle angle for maximum comfort and support for the body with supporting arms and curved stretchers to each.

The double thickness base supports are strengthened further with curved uprights and an arrangement of both eight and six legs

Fully restored, both sofa’s has been stripped back to the solid frames with a new webbed base, padding and calico coverings added. The frames are strong with no rot or wobbles. Custom made duck feather cushions have been tailored to fit each sofa that are now ready for re-upholstery or to be left in its current clothes if preferred.

In remarkable condition and in the original honey pine varnish this pair of sofas are incredibly comfortable and would look good in a variety of settings.
